We’re really excited as we’ll be doing our Wedding Worries Workshops for as many couples as we possibly can at the Wedding Fair, Bluewater this September (20th to 22nd September 2013).
If you’re planning a wedding chances are you’re feeling the pressure to make your day stand out from the crowd and bring all your plans together within budget. Not an easy task, so at the fair you’ll get the chance to chat with us about how to make planning your big day that little bit easier. From queries about choosing suppliers, making the most of your budget, finding your wedding style to bringing an individual personality to your day, we’ll do all we can to find an answer that works for you.
If you’re stressing about something, however big or small, you can have a free one-to-one session with us at our stand where we’ll chat through your plans with you and try to banish those wedding worries!
We love the Wedding Fair at Bluewater as it brings together so many suppliers in one place giving you the chance to find inspiration and ideas for everything wedding related. It’s all there from cars to cakes, dresses to drapery, favours to photographers, bridal accessories to bands, styling, catering, venues and much more.
The catwalk show which runs at different times during the day is fantastic for seeing different styles close up, as dresses never seem to look the same in the flesh as they do in the magazines. You can also try on most of the catwalk dresses plus Bridesmaids and Grooms can also get in on “wedding dress up” fun as there’s a whole range of wedding wear available.
We’ll also be running a special wedding competition and have discounts available for our full planning workshops so make sure you come over and say hello!
Happy Planning

Sometimes an image can never really capture the details of a beautiful dress and it’s not until you see it close up that you really appreciate all the exquisite details. At a recent styled shoot we were lucky enough to have a dress that captures the feminine and romantic spirit of designer Lusan Mandongus with fabulous detailing and a classic style.
Isabella Grace were kind enough to lend us the dress for the shoot, that made the front cover of Your Kent Wedding Magazine, and we’re so glad as Lusan Mandongus dresses really are as beautiful as they look.
Beginning as a small bridal house based in Hong Kong, Lusan Mandongus now has more than 100 stockists, including Isabella Grace at Tunbridge Wells. They have been creating gorgeous gowns since 1991 with a passion to design every girl’s dream for her wedding day.
Here are a few of our favourites from the latest collection.

We just love some of the new Bridal designs emerging from catwalk shows over the last few months. There’s lots of fabric overlays and soft lines with hints of silver and beautiful embroidery. Here’s our favourites from the Spring 2013 Jenny Packham show. If your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a Jenny Packham new season gown head over to Debenhams where we’ve been super impressed with the No1 Jenny Packham collection. From shoes, to accessories, wraps and Bridesmaid dresses you can get designer style at a snippet of the price, especially as some of the range now has 15% off.
Froufrou Bridal Boutique in Tunbridge Wells will be spoiling you this month with some stunning designer days from across the pond.
Their All American March Trunk Show weekends kick off on the 15th with designer, Ivy & Aster, where’ll you get the chance to take a look at their entire 2013 collection as well as new Bridesmaid gowns. Helena from Froufrou says “these gowns are romantic and whimsical and definitely not to be missed, especially for Brides who know they definitely want an Ivy & Aster gown.”
Then on the weekend of 23rd March, designer Claire La Faye Bridal, will showcase beautiful, creative and stylish designs. They are usually only available in the USA so Helena says “if you are a fashion forward bride that dreams of something beautiful and alternative to the traditional you’ll love these really unforgettable and feminine gowns”.
During March the boutique are also introducing new Bridesmaids ranges including a collection from Twobirds Bridesmaids – which we love as they suit just about any Bridesmaid with lots of choice of colour and style.
You can secure your Trunk Show appointment with a fully redeemable £15.00 deposit but before you do Helena recommends “if you are at the beginning of your search though and not looking to buy just yet, do give us a ring us to make an alternative appointment to come in and see us“.
Have fun and make your appointment asap as we know these popular shows get booked up super quick!
Capped sleeves in our opinion are making a welcome come back within wedding dress design. If like us you love a different neckline to choose from then the range from Justin Alexander will be perfect for you. The new style has been easily captured in one fab blog post from the designer which says, “capped sleeves add a touch of vintage glamour you can’t get with any other accessory. This very ladylike feature frames the face and bust perfectly to achieve a modest, chic, and very elegant bridal look”. We couldn’t agree more. Check out the full blog post here.

The gowns of American Bridal designer, Elizabeth Fillmore, are perfect for a relaxed but oh so elegant wedding. Each design has an edgy and contemporary feel with really unique detailing on each of the gowns. There’s no stockist in Kent though ladies so you’ll have to take a trip to Browns in London. Here’s just some of the 2013 collection to fall in love with.
