Sometimes an image can never really capture the details of a beautiful dress and it’s not until you see it close up that you really appreciate all the exquisite details. At a recent styled shoot we were lucky enough to have a dress that captures the feminine and romantic spirit of designer Lusan Mandongus with fabulous detailing and a classic style.

Isabella Grace were kind enough to lend us the dress for the shoot, that made the front cover of Your Kent Wedding Magazine, and we’re so glad as Lusan Mandongus dresses really are as beautiful as they look.

Beginning as a small bridal house based in Hong Kong, Lusan Mandongus now has more than 100 stockists, including Isabella Grace at Tunbridge Wells. They have been creating gorgeous gowns since 1991 with a passion to design every girl’s dream for her wedding day.

Here are a few of our favourites from the latest collection.

Todays online shopping extravaganza is courtesy of Britten Weddings and their absolutely gorgeous Art Deco Inspired ‘Circa’ 2013 collection.

The collection ranges from elegant ostrich feather fans to intricately embellished headbands and all the pieces showcase the distinctive Britten style and fabulous craftsmanship.

Since launching in 2011, Britten has created bespoke bridal accessories with a vintage twist. Each and every piece is handmade in the UK by head designer Sarah Jane Bates, who studied the art and craftsmanship of accessory design at London College of Fashion and now works with her team from their workshop just outside Bath.

All pieces in the collection are available to buy online but if you have your mind set on something and just can’t find it anywhere Sarah says ” we can offer a fully bespoke service allowing you to work alongside the team to design your perfect piece”.

So if you missed out on getting something gorgeous for Valentines Day (I for one was just glad for a bunch of flowers!) then go ahead and give yourself a little treat today!

We already love the gowns by Alan Hannah (see our previous blog post) so news of their new prêt a porter label, MiaMia was the source of much excitement.

Marguerite Hannah is the award winning designer behind both the Alan Hannah label and MiaMia and says “the range aims to offer a slice of couture in an accessible, ready to wear option. We are using silk duchesse, silk slipper satin and silk organza, but we also offer other fabrics as alternatives to those used on the sample gowns. Your local stockist can advise you on choice of fabrics as well as offering a professional service for your fittings and alterations.”

The gowns under this label are light and pretty and we really like the fresh quirky feel of them. Whizz over to Abigails in Headcorn for your fitting in Kent.

If your style is simple, elegant and beautifully made then, like us, you’ll be loving these dresses by designer, Johanna Hehir. Johanna’s designs offer classic cuts with romantic detailing using the best quality European silks and laces.

British born Johanna has established herself over the past ten years as one of London’s leading bridal designers and we absolutely love her style. The dresses shown here are all from her Hartwell House Collection but for more stunning dresses in other collections and details of stockists visit her website. For Brides in Kent your nearest stockist is gorgeous boutique, Mathilda Rose, in East Sussex.
