This month’s edition of Your Kent Wedding features a fun and fantastic wedding we worked on last year. Carol and Antonio’s wedding was packed full of personal DIY touches so if you’re thinking of getting creative and doing lots of styling yourself take a look for bags of inspiration.
Here’s a little peek at the article. To download the full edition click here.
A big thanks to Carol and Antonio for allowing us to share their big day with you all and to Your Kent Wedding and all the suppliers involved.
At the beginning of the year we organised a photo shoot with an amazing team of suppliers because we wanted to show that weddings don’t always have to be held in typical wedding venues. There are some beautiful restaurants in Kent that can provide the perfect background to your big day. We took four very different brides, with four different styles and set about proving that getting married in a stunning restaurant doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style, in fact you can make your wedding day totally special and unique to you.
The Swan in West Malling was our chosen venue but it quickly became our inspiration for the shoot theme. We had so many ideas and so did the suppliers which meant on the day of the shoot we had so much fun creating different shots.
This one was the last shot of the day and seeing our Brides together gave us all a great sense of satisfaction. For the full shoot take a look here.
For all you craft loving Brides out there go over and check out the all new Creative Brides blog. Full of great ideas about how to DIY your wedding day as well as supplier info and lots more besides.
Plus you’ll find The Wedding Dolls (yes it’s a shameless plug) in the wedding planner section as well as info on our DIY workshops so another reason to go say hello and get creative!
Happy Planning!

Right Ok, we’ve had a bit of sun but NOT nearly enough so we’re taking inspiration today from the lovely team over at Bellaboo and Beau, who have given us some really cute ideas to share about making your wedding sunny no matter the weather. So with a stiff upper lip, get collecting your tin cans and set about making your wedding the brightest one ever.
The styling was all part of Belles Events wedding fair down in Worthing. If you’re planning a vintage wedding the fairs are a great starting point. Shoot Styling team:
Jenny from Bellaboo & Beau
Paula and Michael from Draped
Donna from Fabulous Floras

Today we are very excited as we were asked to be part of the Pin it Forward campaign run by Pinterest to join pinning communities together and get people sharing more.
We love Pinterest as you can discover all sorts of inspiration in one place and then organise all your pins quickly and easily into mood boards and categories to suit you.
We use it all the time to create wedding style boards and pin all our favourite ideas from around wedding world including stuff like decorating a marquee and table names to celebrity wedding styles.
Best of all there’s an option for secret boards so you can share with a select few keeping your pins undercover if needs be until well after your wedding day.
Whether you’re pinning for your wedding, your business or just for fun Pinterest is fast becoming the must go to website for inspiration and all things creative.
As part of the launch I’m sharing with you our English Country Wedding board. The board is full of gorgeous inspiration if you’re planning a wedding in Kent, or actually any countryside location! Here’s just a little taster.
And it’s not just for Brides, your Groom can get right involved in this pinning lark with the team over at IamStaggered. A brilliant blog for all things manly when it comes to weddings who have their own Pinterest boards for inspiration and of course, repinning. Go over and say hello!
A massive thanks to the team at Pinterest for asking us to be involved and we hope the campaign is a huge success. Make sure you share your pinboards with us below as we’d love to follow you too!
Happy Pinning

As it’s St Georges Day today what better way to celebrate than share with you a gorgeous English wedding. Sharon and Nigel were married last summer at the Lost Village of Dode and the red colour scheme matches the military uniforms perfectly.
Thanks to the team at Howling Basset Photography for sharing the wedding with us.
Happy St.Georges Day!
Todays inspirational style steal is from the unique team that is Bespoke Collective and was shot on location in the Mansion House at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.
Bespoke Collective is a brand new company made up of Matt Ebbage the photographer, JoJo Pepper the beautician, makeup artist and hairstylist Jessica Hawkins and the jewellery design talents of Faye Holmes.
We really love the vintage vibe in this shoot alongside the sheer prettiness of the gorgeous lace dress.
