A big hello from the Wedding Dolls
Hello we are Emma and Joanne, the team behind the Wedding Dolls. Over the years we have worked in events, pr and marketing, doing many different roles. From organising large festivals, concerts, conferences and corporate parties to styling photo and tv shoots, we have a wealth of experience in creating the perfect event.
Working for corporate companies we organised events at short notice and to very tight budgets. But when it came to organising a wedding it seemed like you had an invisible rulebook to follow. Exhausting timescales that would make any couple go mad and budgets that flew out of the window at the first chance. Hiring someone to help only seemed like a viable option if you were Hollywood Royalty or your debut album just went platinum, but it doesn’t need to be that way. We can help couples, whatever their budget, to find their own wedding style and plan their wedding the fun and fulfilling way.
Meet Joanne
I’m an experienced events and wedding organiser with over 8 years working in events. I’ve helped organise everything from large music festivals through to small intimate celebrations. My move into wedding planning came about a bit by accident when I was asked to help plan a wedding and I just loved it. This has grown and I’ve since gained a Diploma in Wedding Planning alongside my qualifications in Event Planning. It’s an amazing feeling and such a privilege to help couples achieve the weddings they dream of and to see all the planning really pay off. I’m loving this year the chance to share my knowledge teaching brides-to-be “tricks of the trade” at our wedding workshops and make them feel really confident about planning their big day.
I love all things stationery and can usually be found in Paperchase (which aids my list writing fetish), or getting my nails done (after years of serious nail biting), watching cheesy chick flicks and currently mourning for Westlife (which I probably shouldn’t admit to!)

Meet Emma
I’ve worked in events, PR and advertising for over 15 years and still feel like there’s lots to learn! I look after the blog and the marketing side of the Wedding Dolls and am partial to social media and a bit of styling when I get the chance. I love the Fantastic Find on the blog each week when I get to showcase another fabulous Kent supplier and see the real wedding couples who share their wedding days with us.
When not blogging or trawling the internet for inspiration I can occasionally be found running around country lanes in an attempt to stay fit, scouring car boot sales to find vintage gems for wedding styling, watching Disney films with my kids and trying to wrestle my MacBook back from my husband.
Bad points: I have a worrying addiction to lemon sherbets, I can’t stop buying blazers and there is a Chas and Dave CD – alright there’s two – in my music collection.
With big thanks to Amanda Haywood of Bliss Makeovers and Kay Young Photography for our images – always a pleasure working with you xxxx
