Over the next five weeks we will bring you the best Kent has to offer if you are planning a vintage wedding. From complete wedding stylists to vintage hair and make-up it’s all here to help you get started. Whether or not you are going fully themed or just picking vintage elements to create your day here’s our pick of the suppliers to check out.

We were going to kick off with the dress but there’s been such a debate about how to narrow down our list of favourites that we’re starting with one area we could actually agree on – that’s entertainment!

The Polka Dot Dolls (no relation!) are three super singing ladies who capture the romance and emotion of the war era. Your guests will be toe-tapping, dancing and jiving as the ladies belt our swing tunes by the plenty. We saw the ladies perform in Kent last year and they were a hit with the whole crowd.

If Old Blue Eyes hits your vintage note then Alex Banks might be what you need. We saw him last performing at Leeds Castle – the tunes were smooth, the voice was silky and everyone couldn’t help but sing-along. A cracker for over dinner and to get your evening reception underway in style.

Goosebumps are one of the hottest Swing Jive and Jump Blues bands in the UK. These five guys have a full gig list so check out their website and go see them perform.

If you have a vintage themed band you can recommend we’d love to hear from you.

Next week on our vintage wedding special: Hair & Make Up
